A Review of the America’s Liberty Quilt

liberty quilt

The 50th Anniversary of the World’s Liberty Quilt was held in Washington, D.C. on our nation’s Independence Day and thousands of American and Canadian quilters from all over the world showed up with beautiful creations to dedicate to this great cause. There were beautiful block designs of the American Flag, stars and stripes, and the American eagle resting atop a shield with the words “I am proud to be an American” inscribed underneath. I was there that day with my husband to witness the dedication of each of these magnificent creations. What a sight to behold, standing shoulder to shoulder with my fellow quilters in the same colors of blue and white together making a symbol of love and pride in our great country. Each fabric that is made into a Freedom Quilt is truly a work of art and beauty that will be treasured for generations. The design of these lovely creations is done in blocks of random shapes and colors, which are then sewn together by hand, a skill that takes time, patience and talent.

Congratulations! Your Liberty Quilt Is (Are) About To Stop Being Relevant

Each of the gorgeous fabrics that are used is selected with a purpose, and each is used to tell a story in a way that no other quilt can. For example, one American Liberty Quilt is made of beautiful pure white cotton fabric. It has a gorgeous blue and white border design and is accented with a deep red heart that is sure to become a signature of this beautiful fabric. Each of the beautiful fabrics that are used is made by a highly skilled professional who has the ability to create designs that are both fun and unique. You will not find this level of quality in any other free project that is available online or in traditional stores.

In addition to the amazing design, each Freedom Quilt also includes several safety pins that come standard with each piece of fabric. The batting that is used is thick, like heavy knitting and is very sturdy. It also contains over two hundred individually stitched letters of the American flag, which are made from real cotton fabric. This is truly the most unique and attractive quilt you will ever lay your hands on. One that you will cherish as long as you live!
